Bell 8
Firstly, a big welcome from Bell 8 to all new students and families! With new routines and new staff, we have been impressed by how well the students have settled into their new classrooms. They have done an amazing job.
We have embarked on an intriguing exploration into Geomorphic hazards, with each student delving deep into their chosen hazard for an in-depth study. I look forward to the end result when they present their findings to their peers. But before we dove headfirst into the world of research, we decided to brush up on our Google searching skills with a how-to tutorial. Turns out, even the savviest of searchers among us discovered a thing or two! Who knew there was still more to learn?
Our mornings are filled with camaraderie and discovery as we engage in various activities to get to know one another better. And let me tell you about Tuesdays – they're not just any ordinary day! It's our tribal gathering, where we flex our teamwork muscles with collaboration exercises. This week's challenge? "Paper Toss"! Now, you might think passing around a paper ball is child's play, but oh, how wrong you'd be! With each introduction of a new ball, the simplicity quickly spiralled into controlled chaos. But fear not, for amidst the laughter and dropped balls, something magical happened. Communication soared, strategies were born, and smiles lit up the room. It was a sight to behold!
As we look ahead, I'm looking forward to the chance to meet all the wonderful parents and caregivers at our upcoming parent night. Together, I hope to nurture an environment where learning is not just educational but enjoyable too.
