Workplace Learning Term 3 Week 4
Week 4 was upon us again quickly this term, but all the students were prepared and ready to show their best selves out in their chosen work places.
It's such a pleasure to hear all the amazing feedback from our host employers who say our students are dedicated to their learning and willing to take on new tasks that they may not have done previously.
Hearing that our students who are sometimes quite shy at the beginning of the week, but grow with confidence each day is exactly why we love our students being out in the community and gaining hands on experience.
Rebecca, Zach, Tamati, Lee, Will and Krystal-Lee all put in their best retail efforts at a variety of Red Dot Stores receiving awesome feedback from their host employers!
Kim, Jack and Kris attended Woolworths where they took on a number of tasks, including bakery. Kim also attends weekly, as does Jack who dons a hair net every Friday in a Coles Bakery.
Faith and Dakota continue to attend Horsepower each week where they assist other students with horse riding, as well as feeding and clean up duties.
Lauren attended Chuckles Childcare Centre where she assisted staff in general tasks and thoroughly enjoyed the time supporting play-based activities, sleep and mealtime routines.
Michael and Danika received fabulous feedback from the staff at Rebel Sport who were impressed with their dedication to completing tasks and their general workplace skills.
Amber, Kaylene and Sarah attended the Salvos where they all worked hard in completing a variety of tasks and assisting the staff at Salvos to sort through and display the donated items. Fabulous effort girls!
Well done to all our students continuing to develop their employability skills. We are so proud of all your efforts.
A big thank you goes to all our Warnbro ESC staff who go out with our students for either full support, partial support or intermittent visits. Your efforts don't go unnoticed!
And lastly, a huge thank you to all our fabulous host employers, who without, our students wouldn't get the valuable, on the job, training and skill development that is so beneficial for their lives beyond school!
