Cowan 7
The big focus for Year 7s this term is the Christmas Markets. Although some students have experienced it as part of transition last year, not all knew what it was like. So, Mr Beattie jumped at the opportunity to take both Year 7 classes to the Malibu School Markets last week.
We travelled together on a hired bus to Malibu School, where we were greeted by an amazing number of stalls featuring home made products, plenty of food items, some free samples, an op shop (run by our very own Year 11/12 Retail Class!) and even a petting zoo!
A few students purchased items themselves from the stalls enabling them to practice their money handling skills. Most students took advantage of the free fairy floss and popcorn samples and especially the zoo where students interacted with goats, pigs, birds and even an alpaca.
Students got plenty of ideas for our own Christmas Markets and have since enthusiastically brainstormed ideas for our own stalls. We are now well underway with our planning and can't wait to see as many people as possible at the Warnbro Christmas Markets on Tuesday the 6th of December!
