Farmer 8 has launched into the term with purpose and momentum, setting sights on strengthening core skills like reading and writing - and taking them to exciting new heights.
Daily sentence writing and spelling have become part of our everyday rhythm, helping students sharpen their literacy skills. The results speak for themselves: students are not only meeting their goals but absolutely smashing them!But the learning doesn’t stop there. This term, our focus has expanded to recycling and sustainable living. Students have explored what it truly means to reduce waste, running hands-on experiments to test whether everyday items are really safe to toss or if they deserve a second life.
During NAIDOC Week, Farmer 8 proudly participated in cultural celebrations, including a special activity where students created their own natural deodorant using traditional ingredients - a beautiful blend of science, sustainability, and respect for First Nations knowledge.
All in all, it’s been a jam-packed term full of curiosity, creativity, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings!
