Leadership - Term 3
To help students expand their social circles, we invited Rockingham Senior High School ESC to join us for a BBQ lunch at Rockingham Youth Centre — fully planned, budgeted, shopped for, and hosted by our students!
From writing shopping lists and sticking to a $50 budget, to designing invites and creating PowerPoint intros, our students did it all. Caitlin kicked things off by making everyone feel welcome and inviting new friends to play games. Bayley and Angelique kept smiles (and snacks) circulating, while Isabella welcomed guests to the arts and crafts table. Pip got the party started with a dance battle, Jackson and Conner nailed the BBQ, and Zen wrapped it up with expert-level dishwasher stacking!
There were laughs, great conversations, and new friendships formed — all over a few sausages and a lot of heart.
A big thank you to Melissa Paora and the City of Rockingham – Local Government Youth Centre team for running awesome activities and showing us what’s on offer. Best of all? Everything they run is FREE — make sure you check them out!
