Public School Review

On Tuesday, we participated in our Public School Review.  The review provides valuable feedback for principals, school staff, and the school community to support ongoing school performance.  Schools are measured against five key 'enabling' domains from the School Improvement and Accountability Framework (SIAF):  Relationships and partnerships, Learning environment, Leadership, Use of resources, Teaching quality, Student achievement and progress.  Research shows these domains have the greatest impact on student achievement and progress.  Before the review, we submitted a range of evidence to support our schools' self-assessment of how we are addressing each of these areas.  On the day, two reviewers visited our school to validate this evidence by meeting with staff, students, external providers, and community partners.  We are pleased to share that the feedback was extremely positive.  The reviewers were particularly impressed by our Student Councillors, describing them as confident, courteous, and full of ideas, a perfect way to end the term! We expect to receive the official review report by Week 4, Term 3, and we look forward to sharing it with our community via the school website.
