Workplace Learning Term 4 Week 4
Workplace Learning was once again a highlight for our year 11s and 12s who were out in the community last week gaining a variety of important skills and experiences for their futures. It is wonderful to see our students showing great courage and maturity in unfamiliar settings and dedicating their week to their workplaces.Retail stores are especially busy this time of year with Halloween and preparing for Christmas. Our students all stepped up to the challenge in assisting employers meet the customer demands and stock requirements. We are so proud of all our students - their work is always greatly appreciated by our participating employers.Although the Retail Industry is often the popular choice for our students with stores like Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Red Dot, and a variety of op shops, we also saw students out detailing fleet vehicles for Chorus and also working in carpentry within Activ Rockingham.Michael returned to the timber room at Activ making pine pallets.
Rori and Josh detailed fleet vehicles at Chorus - making the vehicles shine like new.
Tamati and Lili restocked shelves and cleared away boxes at IGA.
Jack and Lee returned to Woolworths to assist with stocking shelves and clearing empty boxes. Lee also spent some time on the checkouts.
Shakira, Katie, Danika and Amber were at Red Dot stocking shelves with all the new Christmas decorations - the Christmas aisles look fantastic.
