National Reconciliation Week

On Tuesday, 27th May, WCHS ESC and WCHS came together to host a Morning Tea in recognition of National Reconciliation Week. This event provided students, staff, and families with an opportunity to reflect on the importance of reconciliation in Australia and to honour the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

"Bridging Now to Next" – Our gathering was a moment to acknowledge the legacy of Corroboree 2000, where, 25 years ago, Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders united in a historic call for reconciliation. We continue this journey today by strengthening relationships, deepening understanding, and fostering respect.

A special thank you to the WCHS ESC students for preparing and sharing delicious food—it was a beautiful way to bring our community together.
