✨Hollywood Glam Hits Fremantle!✨
On Friday 4th April, our students swapped school uniforms for red carpet glamour at the Fremantle Sailing Club for our formal school dance – and what a night it was! With the stunning waterfront backdrop and a dazzling Hollywood Glam theme, the evening was nothing short of magical (and maybe just a little bit fabulous).
The venue sparkled with all things Tinseltown – from a life-sized Oscar statue and vintage movie reels, to a classic film camera and walk of fame gold star tiles. Even the place settings screamed Lights, Camera, Action! 🎬 Each student got to take home their own gold star tile and a picture frame – perfect for framing those unforgettable memories (and hilarious photobooth moments).
Tables were topped with retro movie reels and named after classic films – we’re still trying to remember what happened in Gone with the Wind, but the chocolate mousse definitely stole the show! 🍫 Students were treated to a buffet dinner that was, by all reports, “absolutely delish” – and yes, some went back for seconds (and thirds... we’re not naming names).
The DJ warmed up the crowd before unleashing some serious party vibes. Once Nutbush and Macarena hit the speakers, the dance floor turned into a choreographed sea of joy, laughter, and just a little confusion over left and right.
Our students looked incredible – the girls sparkled like stars on the red carpet and the boys scrubbed up very nicely indeed. 📸 A professional photographer captured all the glitz and glam, and the photobooth was full of cheesy grins and group hugs.
Awards were handed out for Best Dressed, Best Dancer, Social Butterfly, Most Changed, and the grand Oscars-style award: Belle and Beau of the Night. Our winners had their moment in the spotlight before everyone hit the dance floor to party the night away.
With sore feet, tired eyes, and hearts full of joy, students agreed it was the best night ever. A perfect celebration of friendship, fun, and time spent together at school.
Roll credits. 🎥🌟
