GRIP Leadership Conference

On Thursday 20th of February, representatives from our current Student Council attended the GRIP Leadership Conference at the Perth Convention Centre. Students participated in discussions, listened to presentations and joined in fun games while learning what it takes to be a good leader.
Our Student Councillors got to see videos and hear ideas of how other students are making a positive impact in their school and community from some simple ideas. We came up with ideas that would improve and build our school community and connections.
There was air guitar, crazy dance moves and conversations with students from other schools about their best leadership tips. Our students got to share that some of the best things about our school are we have friendly staff that are easy to talk to, and that we have our own areas to hang out in at recess at lunch.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our students. We are so proud of their maturity and their representation of WCHS ESC at the event.
