Yagan 9 - Term 4

🌍 Year 9 Update: Earthquakes and Enterprise! 🌍

This term, our Year 9s have been diving into Earth Science and learning all about earthquakes! We’ve explored plate tectonics, how scientists measure earthquake strength, and advancements in tracking technology. The students even sketched and built their own "earthquake-proof" structures with toothpicks and marshmallows and put them to the test with our "Earthquake Teachers." All structures stood firm, with only a few minor quakes!

We’ve also been hard at work on our Christmas Market project. The students have been budgeting, creating surveys, and calculating to prepare our budget proposal and production timeline – a wonderful hands-on math experience!

It's been a fantastic term of learning and creativity! 👏
