Wild Cats
What an incredible day at the Wildcats all abilities carnival. This year we took two teams of students to compete, show case their talents, basketball skills and represent our school.
Our Division 1 team faced a tough challenge against their first opponents filled with tall players that towered over our team, but our team spirit shone through as our players encouraged one another. The highlight? That epic comeback in the last game, where they worked together to bring the ball down the court, scoring goal after goal!
Meanwhile, our Division 2 team came out roaring, winning their first match with flair. The second game ended in a thrilling draw, Our team got fired up and then bounced back strong for a solid win in their final game!
Throughout the day, our players forged friendships with other teams, sharing laughs and building connections. Special shoutouts to Dayton and Zach for winning the sportsmanship awards—well deserved!
Parker and Cooper took on the ginormous glorious Perth Wildcats in the all-star game, showing their skills and determination as they dribbled the ball down the swarm of long-limbed players. They held their own under the ring as they boxed out the giants that cast red shadows over them. Can’t wait for the next competition! Thank you Perth Wildcats and Rio Tinto for putting on another spectacular event that allowed our students to be included and build connections.
