Year 10 KIC Students

Over the past three weeks, Year 10 students had the opportunity to participate in a range of activities organized by the Kwinana Industry Council. On Mondays and Wednesdays, they engaged in various enriching experiences:

• Site Visits: The students toured the Kwinana CSBP plant, learning about its operations, and visited the Construction Training Fund in Belmont to explore different trades within the construction industry.

• Volunteer Work: They contributed to environmental conservation by participating in beach combing and weeding of new seedlings with NRM.

• Workshops: The program included resume building, interview techniques, and sessions on bullying and wellbeing, equipping the students with essential skills for their future careers.

The program culminated in a graduation ceremony on Wednesday, where the students received certificates from CSBP and WesCEF. The experience not only provided insights into potential career paths but also allowed students to connect with their peers from other schools. Overall, it was a rewarding opportunity that the students thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from.
