Volunteering - Community Connection.
This term the year 11s worked on a project that focuses on Community Connection. Our vision for this project is: We believed that Community Connection plays an important role for all young people, especially in post-school transition from school to adult life. We want to help all students develop opportunities for self-growth, encourage them to explore new places, and to create a sense of purpose and belonging for themselves. Students also are in the process of creating and collating materials that will be used on RUOK day. We are using RUOK Day as a platform to spread the importance of mental health and connection to the community. As part of this project, the class have visited Elizabeth Quay to encourage students to organize social events on their own that are affordable and accessible. Please see our Facebook page for more photographs.
