Explicit Direct Instruction

Students have been engaging in Explicit Direct Instruction techniques using their whiteboards to chin their answers whilst they race around a Minecraft Maths addition world. Students have been timing themselves on a stopwatch iPad app to record their best time. Students navigate around the world following a blue trail of bricks to find the next maths challenge question. They chin their answer to the teacher as they race around the world working out the maths problems on a whiteboard.
