Keep the Fires Burning! Blak, loud and proud. NAIDOC Celebrations 2024This year's NAIDOC theme was chosen to honour the enduring strength and vitality of Aboriginal culture. Fire is symbolising the strong connection to culture, within our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the rich tapestry of traditions that define these communities.We are using this important date further educate staff, students and families about the oldest, continuous living culture.Our events across week 4, being held in collaboration with our mainstream community, will provide opportunities to learn about Noongar dance, use of ochre, the symbolism in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags and bush tucker.
